‘Pray as you can not as you can’t’

An invitation to take intentional time-out with God

A Quiet Day exploring finding ways of praying that fit our unique personalities, life situations and spiritual make up, will take place on June 9th from 10am -2:30 pm at Bolney House (Marigold Pym's home, next to St Mary Magdalene Bolney).

The church will also be available for private prayer, and there will be several prayer stations focusing on a variety of ways of praying for you to visit and take the time you need.

The day will be led by Revd Ruth Bond, and will comprise of two or three 'thought starters' - brief talks on different ways of looking at prayer and finding what fits us. You will then be given plenty time in between for time for you and God. Sit or walk in Marigold's beautiful garden, the church or beyond.

Please bring :

Your own lunch

. . . and anything that would help you have time aside with God - note books/ art materials/ knitting etc. It may be helpful to bring a garden chair with you, if possible.

As the name suggests, it will be a quiet day, so apart from during lunch, we will spend the day in silence to help us still ourselves and our busy thoughts, and give others the chance to do so, too.

The day will close with an informal house Communion.

Coffee/tea will be available from 9:30 – please arrive in good time for the day to start promptly at 10.00 am
